The 3 day forest experience will start from Kigali; take you to Nyungwe Forest one of the largest remaining tropical rain forests in Africa and end back to Kigali afterwards. The forest is rich in terms of primate diversity in Africa continent with around 13 primate species recorded in single location in East Africa. This includes large troops of colobus monkeys that often travel in groups of 300 or more individual. Chimpanzee which is our closest relative on the earth, L’hoest monkeys which can easily be spotted along the road in troops of around 10 – 20, Grey checked mangabeys, The Owl faced monkeys that is endemic to Albertine rift. The attraction here is chimpanzee tracking, Forest canopy walk, Bird watching, and Nature walks.
The guide will pick you from your hotel in Kigali Rwanda and take you to Nyungwe forest with a visit to Kings palace in Nyanza, National museum in Butare, Murambi Genocide memorial with lunch break later continue through the forest to Gisakura eastern side where you will stay, check in to you lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
In the morning after breakfast, the guide will take you to the range station for the briefing and together with park guide head to the forest to track Chimpanzee our close relative with chances to see other forest monkeys. On return, you will have lunch and later go for Forest canopy walk or go to track colobus monkeys which is the rare species but habituated to human presence. You will afterward go back to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
On the last day, after breakfast you will be picked and transferred back to Kigali reaching there early in time to visit Kigali genocide memorial and local markets among other places later you will be taken to your place of stay or to the Airport for your scheduled flight back home
