The 9 Days Rwanda Uganda Gorilla Tour Adventure will start either Kigali,Rwanda or in Kampala Uganda’s capital city and will end in Kigali Rwanda’s capital city with two gorilla trekking experiences, one in Uganda’s Bwindi impenetrable national park and volcanoes national park of Rwanda respectively.
There are only 880 mountain gorillas remaining on earth. The majority live in the Virunga Mountains that straddle Rwanda, Uganda and the Democratic Republic of Congo, while a smaller number live in the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest Uganda. Hunted and pushed out of their dwindling habitat, the montane forest is now heavily protected. Most of the 880 gorillas live a wild existence, far from human reach. However, a handful of groups have been habituated and can be tracked and observed by small numbers of visitors under the watchful eyes of park scouts.

Detailed Itinerary of Rwanda Uganda Gorilla Tour
Day 1: Transfer to Kibale national park
First day after an early breakfast, your private Rwanda Uganda Gorilla Tour guide/driver will transfer you and your team to kibale forest national park, this is the primate haven of Uganda with 13 primate species recorded including chimpanzees, red Colobus monkeys, grey cheeked mangabeys red tailed monkeys and pottos of different types in evening relax overnight stay at;

Day 2: Chimpanzee tracking and Transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park
On this day after breakfast report to the ranger station for the briefing before you enter the forest to track our closest relative chimpanzees the tracking here takes 3-5 hours then later after tracking, you will be transferred to Queen Elizabeth national park this is the day you will cross the equator and go for evening game drive. Here you have chances to see Savannah game like Buffaloes, Elephants, Uganda kobs, water bucks, lions and leopards.

Day 3: Full day Queen Elizabeth national park, morning game drive and Afternoon boat cruise
We continue on the Rwanda Uganda Gorilla Tour Adventure trail with after your breakfast and head out for game drive in the plain Savannah of kasenyi in Queen Elizabeth national park search for Elephant, buffaloes, Uganda kobs, bushbucks, warthogs, lions, leopards, waterbucks as well as Savannah birds then later return to the lodge for lunch break. In the afternoon go for the boat ride along kazinga channel that connects two rift valley lakes George and Edward found with the park.
This will reward you with lots hippopotamus, crocodiles, water birds and possibly Elephants and buffaloes coming to drink water at DAY 2
Day 4: Game drive and Transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park
On this day after morning breakfast, you will transfer to Bwindi forest national park home to the endangered mountain Gorillas passing through ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth national park, here you will do a game drive in search of tree climbing lions.
Thereafter proceed to Bwindi forest relax for dinner and overnight stay in preparation for the 1st Gorilla tracking.

Day 5: Full day in Bwindi forest, Gorilla tracking adventure and evening community walk
After an early morning breakfast with packed lunch the Rwanda Uganda Gorilla Tour adventure excitement builds up. This is when you experience your first gorilla trek adventure. Your guide will take you to the head quoters of the park for a Gorilla tracking briefing about the do’s and don’ts.
The gorilla tracking will take you between 3 -10 hours depending on the movements therefore go prepared for either short walk or long walk, after finding them, spend approximate 1 hour with them learning their behavior and later return back for community walk and relaxation then dinner and overnight stay at DAY 4.
Day 6: Transfer to Volcanoes national park in Rwanda
Wake up and take relaxed breakfast, then transfer to Volcanoes national park in Rwanda via Cyanika boarder post with en route visit to the pygmies of Kisoro. Pygmies are the short people locally called Batwa, who used to be the forest dwellers and fruit gatherers before they were evicted from the forest for conservation purposes. It’s very interesting to visit them.

Day 7: 2nd Gorilla Tracking in Volcanoes national park
Another exiting Rwanda Uganda Gorilla Tour adventure day, after early breakfast head to the park offices in Kinigi ready for tracking Gorilla the 2nd time, here you will be briefed about the tracking formalities, be split into small group get allocated to the gorilla family and head to the park for your memorable gorilla adventure. Later when you return back
Depending on the time and fitness, go for cultural entertainment in Iby’Iwacu cultural village and meet the Banyarwanda people as you feel their unique culture return back to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay at DAY 6.
Day 8: Golden monkey tracking and transfer to Kigali
Wake for early breakfast and report to the ranger station, you will be briefed and head to the park to track the endangered species called golden monkey, the tracking will take approximate half a day and later on return, transfer to Kigali the capital city of Rwanda a 3 hour drive and check in to your hotel for an overnight stay at;

Day 9: Kigali city tour and departure
