You will be picked from your Hotel in Kabale, Uganda or Kigali in Rwanda by one of our experienced tour driver/ guide. He will brief you about this gorilla Safari and then drive you to Bwindi Impenetrable national park in Uganda. Bwindi forest is a home to a half of the world’s endangered mountain gorillas. You will reach the park office in good time to attend the briefing about the Do’s and Don’ts of gorilla trekking adventure.
The tour driver/ guide who will be at your service, will at the same time handle all gorilla trekking formalities for you. You tour driver will also go ahead to make sure you are assigned to the best gorilla family. Depending on how strong you’re and what you wish to enjoy seeing, maybe a family with babies or a family with many members including a Silverback gorilla, will definately be the best for you to visit.
You will then embark on unforgettable gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable forest escorted by a park ranger guide taking you through a 1 day gorilla experience. Usually a gorilla trek in Bwindi takes 3 to 5 hours in total depending on their movements and the walking speed of the trekkers. As soon as you find gorillas, you will be allowed to stay with them for a maximum of 1 hour while viewing in a distance of 7 meters a way.
This limitation is basically to avoid unnecessary disturbance of gorillas and avoids disease transmission during the trekking process.
