Detailed Itinerary of 16 Days Uganda Birding & Wildlife Safari
Day 1: Arrival and transfer to your Hotel for overnight stay
Upon arrival at Entebbe international Airport, your Uganda Birding & Wildlife Safari guide will pick you and transfer you to your preferred hotel for overnight stay at

Day 2: Transfer to Murchison falls national park
In the morning after your breakfast, your guide will pick you from your hotel and drive you northwards to Murchison falls national park to start your planned Uganda Birding & Wildlife safari adventure.
Murchison Falls is Uganda’s largest protected area with lots of bird species as well as mammals. You will visit Ziwa Rhino sanctuary birding en route, you will then track rhinoceros thereafter have lunch on the way and proceed to the Murchison falls making it to the top before you check in to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay at

Day 3: Game drive in the morning and afternoon boat cruise to the bottom of the falls
After your early breakfast, you will head out for early birding, here look out for Vinaceous dove, shoe bill, Abyssinian roller, pied king fisher, red throated bee eater, sacred ibis, grosbeak weaver, carmine bee eaters, fulvous whistling ducks, chestnut crowned sparrow weaver, Denham’s bustard among others.
Later, you will return to the lodge for lunch break, after your lunch you will go for a Uganda Birding & Wildlife Safari boat cruise upstream to the bottom of the falls later you will return back to your lodge for overnight stay at DAY 2.
Day 4: Transfer to Kibale forest national park
A relatively early start after breakfast, you will be driven to Kibale national park the home primate haven of Uganda with about 13 primate species recorded including chimpanzee and red colobus and round 350 bird species recorded.
A great place for your Uganda Birding safari excitement. The drive here is quite long between 6 – 9 hours with stop overs for lunch along the way.
You will later check in to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay at

Day 5: Bird Kibale national park in the morning and chimpanzee tracking in afternoon
After early breakfast you will go out for Uganda Birding & Wildlife Safari in the forest of kibale national park and birding here is so delightful and our target is to look for birds like, Green breasted pitta, White napped pigeon, crested guinea fowl, yellow billed barbet, Black billed turacco, Red tailed anti thrush, Narina trogon, yellow spotted necator, Black and white shrike flycatcher, Chestnut wattle eye, Narrow tailed starling, Blue throated roller and many more later in the afternoon you will report back to the ranger station ready for you chimpanzee tracking which takes approximately 3 hours thereafter head back to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay at DAY 4.
Day 6: Birding Bigodi wetland & transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park
In the morning after breakfast go for nature walk in Bigodi wetland for birding, here you stand more chances to find Papyrus gonoleck, white winged warbler, Northern double colored sunbird, Great blue turacco, Black and white casquered horn bill, Black cuckoo, and monkeys that feed in the swamp .
Later you will drive to Queen Elizabeth national park reaching in the evening as you view game animals and birding en route .check in for dinner and overnight stay at

Day 7: Early morning Uganda birding as you do the game drive and boat cruise in afternoon on Kazinga channel
After your breakfast, you will head out for morning game drive as you do Uganda birding, A variety of game animals here will be sported including Lions, Elephants, Uganda Kobs, Defassa Water bucks, Buffalos, leopards if lucky, warthogs together with lots of savannah birds like African wattled lapwing, wood doves, Eagles, vultures, Ruppell’s long tailed starlings, Black headed weavers, slender billed weaver, yellow throated long claws, Grey backed fiscal ,common fiscal, Black lored babbler, Arrow marked babbler, Black headed batis, when you return , have lunch break later go for afternoon boat cruise along Kazinga channel that hosts ahuge concentration of Hippopotamus and crocodiles .
You will be able to spot variety of water bird species like skimmers, pelicans, yellow billed stork, squacco heron, African fish eagle, malachite king fisher, African pied king fisher and many more after two hours you will return back and go for a short evening birding . After all return back to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay at DAY 6.
Day 8: Transfer to Bwindi with Game drive in ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth national park
After your breakfast you will drive to Bwindi impenetrable national park through Ishasha sector. This part of the park is famous for tree climbing lions which are adopted to climb the fig trees and are seen clinging between the branches.
You will do a Uganda Birding & Wildlife Safari game drive in search of the as well as Uganda birding then later proceed to bwindi forest. Here check in to your lodge and birds around the lodge premises later have dinner and overnight stay at

Day 9: Of 16 Days Uganda Birding in Bwindi, Buhoma area
In the morning after breakfast, go for Uganda birding in Buhoma area. Here our target species are; Mountain illadopsis, White tailed blue flycatcher, Red faced woodland warbler, wood peckers, White headed wood hoopoe, Brown capped weaver, Chapins flycatcher, Blue throated roller. Bar tailed trogon, Grey capped warbler and many more. Later head back to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay at DAY 8.
Day 10: Gorilla tracking & evening birding around the lodge
A relatively early morning start, after your early breakfast, you will be taken to the park office ready with packed lunch and drinking water and in tracking attire, be briefed and head out for Mountain Gorilla tracking adventure which will take you approximately 4 -8 hours, and one hour viewing plus photography once you come across them you will be with them for an hour thereafter return back to your lodge after a memorable adventure, relax a bit then after do short birding walk around. Return to the lodge after for your dinner and overnight stay at DAY 9
Day 11: Transfer to Ruhija with en route birding
On this day after breakfast, we transfer to Ruhija area. This is regarded to be one of the best Uganda birding spot with lots of Albertine rift endemics, bird watching en route through the neck looking out for White starred robin, Dusky twin spot, Black bee eater, Strange weaver, Mountain wagtail, tambourine dove, Magpie mankin and many more. Later proceed to check in to the lodge for overnight stay

Day 12: Bird Mubwindi swamp – Ruhija Area
After your morning breakfast, the guide will take you for birding heading to Mubwindi swamp, target species here will be, Yellow eyed flycatcher, Ruwenzori batis, Grauer’s rush warbler, Grauer’s warbler, Black billed turacco, Chestnut throated Apalis, Mountain illadopsis, Stripe breasted Tit, Montane sooty boubou, White tailed blue flycatcher, White headed wood hoopoe, Narina’s trogon, collared Apalis,Bar tailed Trogon, Handsome francolin, African green broadbill ,Ruwenzori hill barbler, Blue headed sunbird, Regal sunbird, and many more.
Later you will head back to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay at DAY 11.
Day 13: Transfer to Lake Mburo national park
Here on this day after you breakfast, you will be driven to Lake Mburo national park with stop over for lunch along the way. After lunch, you will proceed park and do boat ride on Lake Mburo, in search of Uganda birds such as, African fin foot, southern ground hornbill, night heron and other water birds along the lake shores.

Day 14: Birding drive in the morning & transfer to Kampala
As soon as you finished breakfast, you will go for Uganda birding, and target species here are, Red faced barbet which is a scarce bird whose range is restricted to this small area in southern Uganda, as well as eastern Rwanda, look for spot flanked barbet, Sulpher breasted bush shrike, Black colored barbet, and many more this will take you a half a day and later on you will be driven to Kampala for your overnight stay at

Day 15: Birding Mabamba swamp
After your breakfast, the guide will transfer you from your Hotel in Kampala and take you to mabamba swamp which is approximately 50 km west of Kampala city. The wetland is famous spot for sought after bird called shoebill stork and other birds, using a boat, look out for more bird species such as lesser jacana, white winged warbler, yellow backed weaver, swamp flycatcher, Blue headed Coucal, Northern Brown throated weaver, African swamphen, African water rail, White faced whistling duck, Squacco heron, Blue breasted bee eater, Winding cisticola, Goliath heron, Black crake and many more, later you will be transferred to your hotel for an overnight stay at

Day 16: Transfer to the Kampala/ Entebbe, end of 16 Day Uganda Birding and Departure
