4 Days Gorilla Trekking Uganda Safari Itinerary
Day 1: Kigali, Transfer to Bwindi in Uganda. (Approx. 3 ½ Hours)
You will be picked off from the Airport upon arrival or your place of Resident by one of our experienced Gorilla Trekking Uganda tour guides / driver and go for Kigali city tour.
Visit Kigali Genocide memorial, Nyamata church, Caplaki craft market and other local markets. You will then have lunch and afterwards your Gorilla Trekking Uganda guide / driver will drive you to Bwindi Impenetrable national park Uganda, a home to the endangered mountain gorillas, arriving there in the evening in good time to have your dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Mountain Gorilla tracking and Community walk
Take an Early morning breakfast, head to the park office together with your packed lunch, drinking water and dressed in good Gorilla Trekking attire. You will attend the briefing about Do’s and Don’ts about gorillas tracking in the impenetrable forest.
You will get to spend one hour with the gorillas once you find them. The whole tracking takes 4 – 6 hours depending on the movement of the gorillas.
Depending on how strong you will be on return, head for a community walk to learn about culture and interaction with local people including the Batwa/ pygmies who were forest dwellers before they were evicted from forests. Later return to the lodge for your dinner and overnight stay (Day 1)
Day 3: Transfer to Volcanoes National Park and Cultural visit to Gorilla guardian Village (ibyiwacu cultural Village)
In the morning after breakfast, you will drive to Cyanika border, cross over to Rwanda’s Volcanoes National park. In the afternoon after your Gorilla Trekking Uganda lunch you will go to visit Iby iwacu cultural village currently called Gorilla guardian village to learn about Rwanda culture as you meet and interact with local Rwandan men and women who will welcome you with traditional dances and drummer. Later return back to the Lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Golden Monkey tracking and Transfer to Kigali.
On this day after your morning breakfast, you will report to the Park headquarters ready for your golden Monkey tracking. These endangered monkeys which are typically found in this region but habituated to human presence.
You will be briefed before you head out with your lead guide to track them. Once you finish the tracking, you will return back to the lodg and refresh yourself. Afterwards proceed your 2 ½ hour drive to Kigali as you mark the end of your tour.
You will be transferred to the Kigali airport if it will be your scheduled flight time or be dropped at your Hotel.
