This 5 days double Gorilla trekking Bwindi Safari will bring you to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, the home to the few remaining Mountain Gorillas where over 400 individuals live in the whole world. The trip is specifically interesting those whose main focus is to see experience gorillas and their behavior in different families. Track the mountain gorillas twice in two days, 2 different gorilla groups just for the double experience on this tour.

Uganda Gorilla Safari Itinerary
DAY 1. Arrival at Entebbe International Airport and transfer to Kampala.
Upon Arrival at Entebbe international airport, the guide/driver will welcome you and transfer you to Kampala where you will spend the night.
You’ll be staying at:
- LE PETITTE VILLAGE HOTEL,
- CASSIA LODGE.
DAY 2.Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
After your morning breakfast, you will be picked and set off on the double gorilla trekking Uganda tour route to southwestern part to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, with stopover at the Uganda equator and other places of interest for photography.
You will have lunch in Mbarara thereafter proceed to Bwindi NP reaching early in the evening.
Dinner and overnight:
- BUHOMA COMMUNITY REST CAMP,
- MAHOGANY SPRINGS LODGE
- BWINDI LODGE.
DAY 3. Mountain Gorilla tracking and afternoon Nature walk to the Munyaga river trail/ waterfalls trail.
Take an Early morning breakfast, head to the park office headquarters together with your packed lunch, drinking water and dressed in good gorilla trekking attire. You will attend the briefing about Do’s and Don’ts about gorilla trekking Uganda in the impenetrable forest. You will get to spend one hour with the gorillas once you find them.
The whole tracking takes 4 – 6 hours depending on the movement of the gorillas. Depending on how strong you will be on return, head for a nature walk to Munyaga river trail that takes approximately 1 ½ hours here you will enjoy the walking on the edge of the river as you look out for monkeys and bird species that you miss while tracking gorillas or go for waterfall trail if you are still strong enough this takes 2-3 hours return journey.
You will enjoy walking in the jungle as you look out for Monkeys, several bird species and magnificent Munyaga waterfall. Later return to the lodge for your dinner and overnight stay at (DAY 2)
DAY 4. Second Gorilla tracking Adventure and community walk in the afternoon.
A relatively early morning start together with packed lunch, you will assemble to the Park office well prepared to undertake gorilla trekking Uganda for the second time. Here you will be allocated to a different gorilla family such that you may come out with different experience in the jungle.
Young Gorillas are so playful so you stand chance to see the behavior that you may have missed in the first trek. Later on return you will go for community walk to meet the local people including Pygmies who used to be forest dwellers before they were evicted from the forest.
The guide visit will let you know the lifestyles of the local people in the area. Go back to your lodge for Dinner and overnight stay. (DAY 3)
DAY 5. Transfer to Kampala and Departure.
After you breakfast in the morning, you will set off a long drive to Kampala 8-9 hours passing through different villages, Make several stops for Photography and Lunch. You will then stop at Mpambire Drum makers in Mpigi to learn how people earn a living by use of cow products like skins to make drums, horns to get Music instruments.
You will then continue to Kampala and be dropped to your hotel or Entebbe international Airport if it’s your scheduled departure flight time.
