5 Days Kidepo Valley Safari

Detailed Tour Itinerary:

Day 1- Travel to Gulu town with En-route Rhino tracking in Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary.

On this first day of your trip, a driver/ guide from Adventures To Gorilla Africa will pick you up from your Hotel in Kampala and transfer you to Gulu town towards northern Uganda. You will have en-route Rhino tracking in Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary afterwards proceed to spend your night in Gulu Town. Dinner and overnight at;

Day 2 - Depart Gulu Town for Kidepo Valley National Park & Game drive Safari.

After your early breakfast, the guide driver will pick you and drive you to Kidepo valley national park which is a half day of driving. Time allowing visit Aruu falls along the way. Continue your journey to the park. You will arrive at Kidepo in good time for your Lunch and to check in to your lodge. In the afternoon, you will embark on a game drive Safari, exploring the park’s impressive landscapes including the magical Narus Valley where you stand possibility to spot game animals including Herds of Cape Buffaloes, Klipspringer, jackal, Elephants if lucky lions among others. After game drive, you will be driven back to the lodge for relaxation, Dinner and overnight stay at:

Day 3 - Morning Game drive to Narus Valley and Visit the Karamojong Community.

Early in the morning after breakfast, your tour driver will take you for a game drive Safari up to Narus Valley. The landscape in this section of the park is comprised of Savanna grassland with small hills and rocky outcrops from which you can obtain a stunning views in all directions as well as photographic opportunities of wildlife. You will enjoy game drive as you observe Elephants feeding, buffaloes, Jackals, Jackson’s Hartebeest, zebra, giraffes and lucky enough you may spot lions, cheetah, hyenas and many others.

Later, return to your Lodge for Lunch. In the afternoon, you will visit local community to meet and interact with Karamojong people and learn about their unique lifestyle. This will include the visit to their manyatta. Karamojong are nomadic pastoralist who live in unique houses called manyatta that are set with in an enclosure. Their leader will explain to you everything related to their culture and entertain you with their traditional songs and dances. Dinner and overnight stay at

Day 4 – Morning Game drive in Kidepo Valley and Visit the Hot springs.

On this day embark on the morning game drive after your breakfast, to search for more wildlife species you may have missed to see during the previous Safari. You will look out for animals such as Elephants, Buffaloes, Diki diki, Kudu, Zebra, Black backed Jackal, Bat eared fox, Caracal, Lions, hyenas and if lucky Cheetah, leopards, ostriches and many others. drive through Narus valley to visit the famous Kanangorok Hot springs and depending on weather or road condition, we can continue or decide to enjoy a game drive Safari around Narus Valley again. After game drive, we return back to the lodge for relaxation. Dinner and overnight stay at:

Day 5 – Full Day Traveling back to Kampala

On this last morning of your 5 Days trip to Kidepo Valley national park, you will have early breakfast and start your long Journey back to Kampala. You will have lunch en-route afterwards proceed your journey back arriving Kampala early evening. Be aware for long day sitting in the car but with a lot to see in Uganda country side.
