The 5 Days Uganda Primate Safari takes you to Uganda’s gem in the west for a gorilla trekking tour, Chimpanzee Safari and enjoy wildlife game drive. This trip will start in Entebbe and will end in Entebbe, Uganda. It will bring you to Uganda ’s most beautiful and important places where you will enjoy nature and cultural experiences. These places include; Kibale forest national park a home to 13 primate species including Chimpanzees, Red colobus monkeys and over 350 bird species. You will then visit Queen Elizabeth national park to shorten the next day’s journey, but also enjoyable with chances to see a lot of game such as elephants, buffalos, Uganda Kobs, tree climbing lions and lucky enough leopards. Finally Visit Bwindi Impenetrable forest national park, a home to a half of the few remaining mountain gorillas in the world. you be able to meet the endangered mountain gorillas in the jungle escorted by a park ranger.

Uganda Primate Safari Itinerary
Day 1: Depart Kampala for Kibale forest & Nature Walk in Bigodi wetland Sanctuary
After breakfast, your Uganda Primate Safari guide/driver will pick you from your Hotel in Kampala/ Entebbe, then set off for Kibale Forest National Park, arriving kibale early afternoon. Kibale Forest is a large protected block of rainforest, which has the highest number of primates in Africa such as Chimpanzees, Grey Cheeked Mangabey, Red Tailed monkey and Red Colobus. In the afternoon after your lunch, you will go for nature walk in Bigodi wetland sanctuary where you stand chance to see variety of monkey species and birds. Return to the lodge for Dinner and overnight stay at;

Day 2: Morning Chimpanzee tracking & Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park.
On this day after breakfast, you will go for Chimpanzee tracking, spend the whole morning in the forest where you will view chimpanzee and learn more about them in their natural habitat. You will view other wildlife species like red colobus monkeys, red tailed monkeys, Olive Baboons, grey cheeked mangabey, and several bird species. Later on return, you will have lunch at your lodge, afterwards transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park arriving early in the evening.

Day 3: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest with En-route Game Drive in Ishasha Sector.
In the morning after relaxed breakfast, you will continue your Uganda Primate Safari with a drive to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park with en-route game drive in Ishasha sector. This is the southern part of Queen Elizabeth national park famous for tree climbing lions. You will search for these lions, depending on the days’ weather, you may be lucky to find them near or enter deep in search of them. Have picnic lunch and afterwards proceed your journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. You will arrive early evening, relax as you prepare for your next day’s mountain gorilla trekking.

Day 4: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi Forest and Community walk
An Early morning start after your breakfast, your Uganda Primates Safari guide driver escort you to the park office to attend the briefing about do’s and don’ts of gorilla trekking by the ranger guide. You will then be assigned to the gorilla family of which you will track. Expect to walk long distance on a steep and muddy and slippery trail, sometimes with rain overhead while tracking gorillas. The whole exercise may be strenuous but the joy you experience after encountering the gorillas is overwhelming.
Meeting the gentle giants in Bwindi forest is perhaps one of the most exciting wildlife experiences on earth. Trekking gorillas may take 3-6 hours depending on their movement in their natural habitat.
You will stay with the gorillas for a maximum of one hour once you encounter them and then on return from tracking, you may go for community walk to meet local people including Batwa/ pygmies as you learn about their way of living.

Day 5: Morning Transfer back to Kampala/ Entebbe.
In the morning after breakfast, we drive back to Kampala or Entebbe with lunch break along the way. We will make a stopover at Uganda equator for you to take photographs and then afterwards proceed to Entebbe to catch up with your scheduled departure flight if on schedule as we end Uganda Primates Safari.
