The 7 Days Chimps Safari Express, Uganda & Rwanda will start in Kampala Uganda and end in Kigali Rwanda’s Capital. This trip brings you to the best view of Uganda’s primates with chances for other savannah game animals. Right from Kibale forest home to our closest relative, the Chimpanzee to Savannah with tree climbing lions of Ishasha in Queen Elizabeth to the home of the worlds endangered Mammal species on earth the Mountain Gorillas. You will then end the trip by crossing over to Rwanda a land of a thousand hills where you will witness the historical Genocide by visiting the Kigali genocide Memorial.

ITINERARY

DAY 1. Arrival and transfer to Kampala

On Arrival at Entebbe International Airport, the tour guide will welcome you and transfer you to Kampala for Overnight stay.

DAY 2. Transfer to Kibale National Park and crater walk

In the morning after your breakfast, you will be picked from the Hotel by the Chimps Safari Express tour guide and set off to Forest Kibale National Park with en-route stopover for photography and lunch break, reaching Kibale forest in the Afternoon. You will go to nature walk to the crater lakes region in the afternoon and later have Dinner and overnight stay.

DAY 3. Chimpanzee tracking in the Morning and afternoon Nature walk to Bigodi wetland Sanctuary.

In the Morning after your breakfast we continue on the Chimps Safari Express route. You will report to the Kanyanchu visitor Centre ready for your Chimpanzee tracking, you will the attend the briefing to know more about the DO’S and DON’T’S while on the way and when you are with Chimps, you will then be allocated to group to meet your lead guide who will take you to meet the chimps, and once you found them, you will be allowed to spend one hour with them thereafter return to the Lodge for Lunch break. In the afternoon, you will go for nature walk in Bigodi wetland sanctuary where you stand more chances to see variety of Monkeys and bird species including the great blue Turacco.

Day 4. Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park and afternoon Kazinga channel Boat cruise.

In the morning after a relaxed breakfast, you will transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park reaching there early for a Boat cruise on Kazinga Channel. This is the natural water body that connects two rift valley lakes that are found within this Park. The channel hosts the highest concentration of hippopotamus population in Africa and there you stand chances to see a lot of them as well as variety of bird life. You will then go for evening game drive see more of the wildlife. Check in to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5. Game Drive, and Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.

After an Early breakfast, you will set off for game drive in Kasenyi Plains where you search for game animals like Lions, Buffalos, Uganda Kobs, Warthogs, Leopard Hyenas, birds among others, later you will drive southwards through Ishasha where you will search for the tree climbing lions. You will then have lunch and proceed on the Chimps Safari Express route to Bwindi Impenetrable forest National Park reaching there evening. You will check in to your Lodge have dinner and overnight stay at BAKIGA LODGE, GORILLA MIST CAMP

DAY 6. Mountain Gorilla tracking in Bwindi and Community walk

A relatively early morning start, after breakfast you will assemble at the Park headquarters for the briefing about the DO’S and DON’T’S about gorilla tracking. You will then officially start you gorilla trekking adventure together with other team members lead by the ranger guide. Gorilla trekking takes few hours up to full day depending on the movement of the gorillas. Once you find them, you will be allowed a period of one hour with them as you take photos. Later you will return back to the lodge where you will rest for few minutes and thereafter take community walk to meet the local people including the pygmies, learn about their culture. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay at (DAY5)

DAY 7. Transfer to Kigali, City tour and departure.

In the morning after relaxed breakfast, you will set off to Kigali reaching there early for City tour to visit Kigali Genocide memorial, Capalaki craft Market time allowing Camp Kigali. You will thereafter be transferred to Kigali international Airport if it’s your scheduled flight time or be dropped to you Hotel or place of preference upon arrangement.
