This 8 Days Uganda Gorilla and Chimpanzee Tour will be starting in Kampala Uganda’s capital and will end in Kampala or Entebbe Uganda. The Uganda gorillas safari will take you to the most exciting destinations that will offer you an amazing experience of Nature, culture, and wildlife adventures. These include Kibale Forest National Park, Queen Elizabeth National Park and Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park the home of the Mountain Gorillas.

ITINERARY

Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe

On arrival at the airport, you will be welcomed by your Uganda Gorillas and Chimpanzee Tour personal guide and then transfer to Kampala for the overnight at Cassia lodge, Le petite village Hotel.

Day 2: Kampala – Kibale Forest; Home to 13 primates species

You’ll start the first day of the Uganda Gorillas and Chimpanzee Tour after breakfast, departing Kampala for Kibale Forest National park passing via the Nakayima tree in Mubende and arriving in the afternoon. Kibale Forest is a large protected block of rainforest, which has the highest number of primates in Africa such as Chimpanzees, Grey Cheeked Mangabey, Red Tailed monkey and Red Colobus.  In the afternoon, you may go for evening cultural walk in the Batooro community.

Dinner and overnight at Chimpanzee Guest House, Crater Safari lodge, Primates Lodge.

Day 3: Chimpanzee tracking and transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park.

This morning, you will go for chimpanzee tracking. Spend the whole morning in the forest, where you will view chimps relax in their natural habitats. You will view other wildlife species like Birds and later return to the park headquarters. Have lunch and later transfer to QENP reaching in the evening.

Dinner and overnight at Queen Elizabeth Bush Lodge, Enganzi lodge, Mweya Safari Lodge.

Day 4: Game Drive and Kazinga Channel  Boat cruise.

After an early cup of coffee, continue the Uganda Gorillas and Chimpanzee Tour trail with a morning game drive in Queen Elizabeth National park where you will see game as lion, bush buck, water hogs, elephants, and many more. Go back to the Lodge for a late breakfast and relax at the swimming pool.  In the afternoon, go for a boat cruise along the Kazinga channel for a view of lots of game as hippos, crocodiles, buffaloes, as well as a variety of bird species.

Dinner and overnight at QE.Bush Lodge, Enganzi lodge, Mweya Safari Lodge.

Day 5: Transfer to Bwindi National park with En-route Game drive in Ishasha

Set off for Bwindi National park early morning on the fifth day of the Uganda Gorillas and Chimpanzee Tour, passing via Ishasha sector for a lion safari game drive in search of the famous tree-climbing lions. If you are lucky you will spot them hanging in fig trees and also view other wildlife species like antelopes.

Continue and have picnic lunch en route, arriving in Bwindi in the afternoon for dinner and overnight at Bwindi Jungle lodge, Bakiga Lodge, Gorilla Mist Camp.

Day 6: Uganda Gorillas & Community Visit – Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.

This the morning you’ve prepared for all this time. The Uganda Gorillas and Chimpanzee Tour gets real on this day. Wake up very early to get ready for Uganda Gorilla tracking. Do not forget to take your lunch boxes and all the necessary gear to track the rare Mountain Gorilla, perhaps one of the most exciting wildlife experiences on earth. There are always park guides with you who interpret the flora and fauna and the lifestyle of the Uganda Gorillas. On return if you are still strong, you will go for community walk to meet the local people and pygmies.

Dinner and overnight at Bwindi Jungle lodge, Bakiga Lodge, Gorilla Mist Camp.

Day 7: Transfer back to Kampala.

After breakfast on our last Uganda Gorillas and Chimpanzee Tour day in the Wild, we set off for Kampala with stopover to look at the Royal Drum makers, the Equator – where you will be able to stand and be on both hemispheres at once, arriving in the Kampala in the evening.

Overnight and dinner at le Petite village Hotel, Cassia Lodge.

Day 8: City tour and transfer to Entebbe for departure

After having breakfast, you will go for a city tour visiting the major attractions in the city and later be transferred to Entebbe airport to catch with your Ebb departure flight.
